Nkawkaw-based rapper Phada Gaza tragically lost his life on November 2, 2025, after a violent confrontation with a rival group member escalated into a fatal encounter.
The altercation reportedly began over a territorial dispute and resulted in both men stabbing each other.
Despite being rushed to the Holy Family Catholic Hospital in Nkawkaw, Phada Gaza was pronounced dead upon arrival.
His rival, who sustained critical injuries, was treated and later transferred to the Police Hospital in Accra for specialized care ¹ ².
Speaking to JoyNews, the Municipal Director of Health for Kwahu West, Celestina Asante, confirmed that the deceased sustained multiple wounds consistent with a knife or cutlass attack.
"Two young men were having a scuffle, probably in their home, and then they stabbed each other.
Unfortunately, one passed on, then the other one; he did not die, but he sustained injuries. When they were brought to the hospital, one was pronounced dead on arrival.

A tense situation unfolded at the Holy Family Hospital in Nkawkaw after the rapper's death, with youths gathering and demanding that the injured suspect be handed over to them.
The Municipal Director of Health confirmed that the rapper's body has been deposited at the Nkawkaw Holy Family morgue.
The Ghana Police Service has yet to issue an official statement on the incident or confirm any arrests following news of the rapper’s death flooding social media yesterday.
