Zulan loves Ghanaian music
Jamaican born musician, Zulan O’Brien simply loves Ghanaian music. Hence, he has collaborated with Shatta Wale and he intends to work with a host of other Ghanaian artistes including Sarkodie, Efya, R2Bees and Fuse ODG.
The artiste who is currently based in the United States of America admitted that although he does not understand the lyrics of the songs, he has always been awed by the creativity and energy of Ghanaian artistes.
“ I just admire the musical talents brewed in Ghana. I don’t understand the words in the song but I love everything about Ghanaian music.
“ The first time I heard Sarkodie on a song, I was impressed and wanted to work with him that very day because his delivery was so on point,” he said in an interview with Showbiz.
His good impression about Ghanaian music, Zulan says, has inspired him to sign some Ghanaian artistes on his record label though he was hesitant to mention names when he was questioned.
“I admire Shatta Wale because we have a lot in common and his music speaks to me when I listen to them. He’s very talented and Ghana must be proud to have such a gem,” he stated.
He is currently promoting his latest song, Mood For You in Ghana and other African countries.
Recorded by Rony Turn Me Up, the song talks about a man being ‘in the mood’ for that special lady.
Speaking about Dancehall music in Ghana, Zulan said he is impressed with the acceptance of Dancehall music in the country and he is very hopeful his song vwill “break grounds in Ghana”.
