Nigeria Media Center opens in Accra
A Nigerian Media Center, which seeks to provide detailed information about Nigeria was Thursday opened in Accra.
The center, to serve also as a research center, was inaugurated by the Nigerian High Commissioner and would be operated by Nigerian media practitioners and opened to every media practitioner in the country.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Nigeria High Commissioner, Ambassador Oluseyi Ademola Onafowokan charged media practitioners to work hard and ensure that the center promotes the culture and federal governance of Nigeria.
Economic relationship
The High Commissioner encouraged media practitioners to promote the economic relationship between Ghana and Nigeria via the center, saying “The center should also be used to give identity to Nigerians living in Ghana and report on events honestly and accurately.”
Commitment
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of P.E Fancy GH. Limited, Mr Paul Emmaunel, who spoke on behalf of the Nigeria media practitioners in Ghana lauded the initiative and pledged to work hard to maintain the relationship.
He said the center would go a long way to promote the culture of Nigeria in Ghana and address challenges that confront Nigerians in the foreign media.
He therefore appealed to Ghanaians and foreign media practitioners to research on information concerning Nigeria at the center to promote mutual understanding.
