Ms Damali charged the authorities of the school to train the students in a way that would make them  useful in the future.

She urged the school authorities not to concentrate only on the academic performance of the students at the expense of other skills and experiences that  might be needed later in life.

The municipal director made this call at the Speech and Prize-giving Day celebration of the school held last Saturday.

The celebration was on the theme: “Building Excellence in Education—the Role of Trinity Academy.”

Ms Damali pointed out that education was a social enterprise that demanded the efforts and contributions of all, so there was the need for parents, teachers, education directors, and all stakeholders to play their roles in the upbringing of the future leaders.

The Proprietresss of the Academy, Mrs Clarita Araba Bouhairie, urged parents to suspend satisfying their material needs and rather invest in their children’s education.

“Children are our greatest gifts and, therefore, we have a moral duty to invest in them.”

She also tasked parents to ensure that their children use their time wisely, instead of watching movies and engaging in activities on the social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, etc.
