Bob Pixel Photowalk
August, for those of us who were his fans, is Bob Pixel’s Legacy Month.

Remember him? My buddy Bobbie, the legendary Ghanaian photographer, who, sadly, passed away in 2021, after a short illness, sending shockwaves among the many photography enthusiasts who knew him.
Bobbie's work was exceptional. And most inspiring. He was one of those early photographers who started posting images of Ghana in its panoramic aesthetics, in such a picturesque way online that caused people to see the beauty of our country.
He would have been 48 on August 1, and as has become a tradition, to honour his memory and to celebrate his remarkable legacy, the Friends of Bob Pixel is inviting all photo lovers to join in a photo walk taking place on Saturday August 3.
It's an event to celebrate and honour the beautiful gift that was Emmanuel Bobbie. It starts from the El Wak stadium in Accra at 3 p.m.
Bob was such a compassionate fellow. He loved children, and in true Bobbie spirit, the Bob Pixel Foundation once even had an outreach programme that sent gifts to newborns at the Nsawam Government Hospital selected as beneficiaries, putting smiles on the faces of the mothers of the little ones who received donations of diapers, cot sheets, tissues and t-rolls, water, baby toys, bathing soap, detergents, baby clothes, baby food, medicines as well as some cash.
There were eight deliveries on that day; all Akosuas! But by the time those present to make the presentation were about to leave, an Akwasi finally arrived! With Bobbie also being an Akwasi, it was a perfect cap to a very beautiful day with the lil’ ones.
This year, the major activity is the Bob Pixel Photowalk. It will be nice to see many photography enthusiasts gather to capture the beauty of our surroundings, just as Emmanuel did so brilliantly, and share memories of time with him.
