The Mirror to celebrate mothers in grand style at Oak Plaza Hotel
This year’s Mirror Mother’s Day celebration promises to be full of excitement with various activities lined-up to make the day a memorable one for all mothers.

This year’s event falls on Sunday, May 14, 2023 and will be held at the Oak Plaza Hotel on the Spintex Road in Accra.
According to the Director of Marketing and Sales of the Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL), Mr Franklin Sowa, The Mirror, Ghana’s most popular and biggest-selling weekly newspaper and its digital platforms, will be offering the public, an unforgettable experience dubbed: ‘My mother is a testimony of love and endurance.”
Mr Sowa said it was expected that more than 100 mothers would be in attendance at the ticketed event and be served with finger-licking buffet lunch, drinks and various exciting prizes for guests.
“There will also be a live band to dish out music for the mothers to dance while veteran gospel duo, the Tagoe sisters, will be performing most of their hit songs. Passing through is Evangelist Diana Asamoah, another well-known gospel artiste.)
He said, as part of the programme, the campaign for Mirror Model Mother 2023 would be unveiled during the ceremony.
“The Model Mother campaign is to celebrate an ideal mother in society, with national and international appeal, on Mother’s Day. The campaign is also meant to create opportunities for readers and audiences to appreciate mothers in a unique way by educating and promoting good motherhood in society.”
