The 2006 Year Group of the Apam Senior High School Old Students Association (ASSOSA 2006), with the support of the Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, and his wife, Mary Safoa Yeboah, have handed over a three-ton reverse osmosis water purification system to the institution.
The move is to address water challenges in the school.
The provision of the facility coincided with the school’s landmark 73rd Anniversary and Speech & Prize-giving Day celebrations held recently.
Treatment
The modern water treatment plant is designed to provide safe, clean and sustainable drinking water for the students and the academic staff.
The handover ceremony was graced by the Minister of Education, Mr Iddrisu, who attended the event alongside his wife.
He commended the 2006 batch for their proactive citizenship and deep commitment to education, and urged them to continue supporting the school.
The headmistress of the school, Comfort Essah-Amoaful, supported by the school prefect, received the facility on behalf of the management and students.

He expressed his profound gratitude to the old students for answering the school’s call for assistance.
Members of the 2006 year group had earlier engaged the student body in an intensive mentorship session.
The alumni offered career guidance, shared personal academic experiences, and provided practical life strategies to inspire the current generation of students.
The group, led by the President, Mr Solomon Otoo, concluded the weekend-long activities by joining the students and staff for a combined Sunday church service on the school campus.
