Ghanaian students on European tour meet Ambassador in the Netherlands

A group of more than 100 Ghanaian students who took part in Edibeck Consult’s cultural exchange summer camp and educational tour across the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and France have paid a courtesy call on Ghana’s Ambassador to the Netherlands, His Excellency Francis Danti Kotia, in Wassenaar.

The visit was designed to give the students practical insights into diplomacy, international relations and the work of Ghana’s diplomatic missions abroad. Ambassador Kotia commended Edibeck Consult for what he described as an impactful initiative and encouraged the creation of more opportunities to expose Ghanaian youth to global experiences.

During their interaction, the students were briefed on the core functions of the Ghana Embassy and the role of diplomacy in fostering international cooperation. They were also taken through Ghana’s engagements with international institutions and were given the opportunity to interact with members of the diplomatic staff.

This offered them first-hand knowledge of career pathways in international relations and public service.

Ambassador Kotia further urged the students to become exemplary representatives of Ghana by promoting national pride and embracing global citizenship. He underscored the importance of young people carrying the values of discipline and patriotism wherever they find themselves.

The students, in turn, expressed their appreciation for the experience and left with what they described as a renewed commitment to contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s development.

Now in its sixth year, the Edibeck Consult summer camp and exchange programme has steadily grown into a platform that promotes education, cultural exchange and youth empowerment between Ghana and the Netherlands. Stakeholders have encouraged both the Embassy and Edibeck Consult to sustain the engagement in order to continue nurturing globally minded Ghanaian youth.
