The National Service Authority (NSA) has reopened its portal for the application of PIN codes for defaulters and private candidates for the 2026/2027 service year.
In a press statement issued on Sunday, August 30, the Authority said the portal will remain open from Monday, August 31, 2026, to Friday, September 4, 2026.
The reopening offers another opportunity to eligible applicants, including Ghanaian nationals who completed their studies abroad, candidates under the private and defaulter categories, and those facing registration challenges, to complete their online registration.
Applicants are also required to submit all necessary supporting documents at designated NSA offices within the scheduled period. The
Authority urged all applicants to ensure that their registration requirements and supporting documents are completed and submitted on or before Friday, September 4.
The NSA further reminded the public that under the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119) every Ghanaian citizen who has completed an accredited tertiary institution is required to undertake national service.
Management therefore urged all eligible applicants who are yet to complete the process to use the extended period to resolve their status and obtain their PIN codes before the deadline.
The Authority stressed that Friday, September 4, 2026, will be the final deadline for applications for PIN codes for defaulters and private candidates under the extension.
