Perry Hayford JHS students donate to Takoradi Hospital patients
Students of Perry Hayford Junior High School (JHS) in Takoradi have donated food items to patients at the children and maternity wards of the Takoradi Hospital in the Western Region.
The donation marks part of activities earmarked for the school’s 60th anniversary celebration.
The items included dairy products, loaves of bread and toiletries.

The Headmistress of Perry Hayford JHS, Ms Grace Anane presented the items of on behalf of the students.
She said the donation formed part of the students’ commitment to contribute their quota towards the welfare of children on admission at the hospital.
“As educationist, we are working assiduously to inculcate the spirit of giving
in the students so they can give out to others after school and during their career,” Ms Anane said.
Hospital Representative
A Deputy Director of Nursing at the hospital, Ms Hannah Cromwell, received the items on behalf of the children on admission.
She thanked the school’s authorities and the students for the donation and urged other organisations and individuals to emulate the gesture.
Anniversary
Activities lined up for the school’s 60th anniversary celebrations included: donations, clean up exercises, inter schools quiz, African Day celebration, home coming and fun games, float through some streets and after party.
