9th Energy Awards to close nominations

Nominations for entries for the 9th edition of the Ghana Energy Awards (GEA) closes in 10 days.

Nominations opened on September 9, 2025, inviting submissions from individuals, companies, and institutions across Ghana’s energy value chain.

Established to recognise and honour outstanding achievements, innovation, and leadership within the energy sector, the GEA has, over the years, become a respected benchmark for excellence.

This year's edition would be held on the theme: “Repositioning the energy sector as a pillar of national development."

The theme recognises the central role of energy in driving Ghana’s economic transformation.

The 2025 edition would feature 26 competitive categories, reflecting the breadth of Ghana’s energy landscape—from the power to the petroleum subsectors.

The awards secretariat has, therefore,  introduced new categories this year, broadening participation and ensuring recognition for diverse contributions that support the country’s energy development agenda.

The competition for shortlisting is expected to be intense.
