Alhaji Chocho installed as Kwabeng ‘Nkosuohene’
The Chief Executive Officer of Chocho Industries, Alhaji Mustapha Oti Boateng, has been installed as the ‘Nkosuohene’ (Developmental Chief) of Akim Kwabeng in the Eastern Region, at a ceremony last Saturday.
During the installation, the Chief of Kwabeng and Okyeman Gyasehene, Nana Oti Bruku I, told the media that Alhaji Chocho’s contribution to the development of Kwabeng had been phenomenal, adding, “Time will not permit me to list the development projects Alhaji has brought to the people of Kwabeng and the Eastern Region.
“He is a true role model, creating jobs for our people and constantly supporting all our developmental projects. This honour is long overdue and the people’s acclamation is enough testaments to what I’m saying.’
In his acceptance speech, Alhaji Chocho, as he is popularly called, said “This is a clear indication that people monitor whatever you do in the society. This has, indeed, encouraged me to go the extra mile.
“I would like to thank the elders for the confidence reposed in me. I will do my best to support our beautiful town but I will need the support of all as we soldier on as one people.
“Let’s remain united, focused and with determination, I know Allah will see us through. We need to develop as a people, and it will take selflessness and hard work to get to where we want to go as a community.”
