Fire destroys property at Tuobodom Senior High School

Fire has raged through portions of the Tuobodom Senior High School in the Techiman North District in the Brong Ahafo Region, destroying property worth thousands of Ghana cedis.

The fire destroyed part of the administrative block, the library, stores, the typing pool and the offices of the headmaster and the assistant headmaster.

The cause of the fire outbreak is not yet known, while the cost of the damage is yet to be determined.

Investigation

According to the Techiman Municipal Commander of the Ghana National Fire Service, Philip Ansah, the cause of the fire was still under investigation. “We are still investigating the cause of the fire outbreak. No death was recorded,” he said.

He said the cost of the damage could be determined by the school authorities.
