The project, which started in April 2013 and consists of 10 bedrooms and auxiliary facilities, was financed by the various congregations, districts and individuals as well as citizens of Asante Akyem both home and abroad.

The dedication ceremony, which attracted people from all walks of life, coincided with the homecoming service of the presbytery.

The service was organised by the presbytery to bring together all Presbyterians from Asante Akyem to fellowship together.

Preaching the sermon, Rt Rev. Prof. Martey said among other things that the church was not just a physical structure, but a spiritual abode where Christians found the love of God at all times.

He praised the leadership and members of the presbytery for exhibiting unity which had helped in pooling resources to build the manse.

The moderator encouraged members of the church to reach out to people with the message of salvation, the reason for which Christ came into the world.

He called on ministers of the church to offer quality leadership, commitment and selflessness in order to promote the growth of the church.

Rt Rev. Prof. Martey stressed the need to lift the image of the church by putting up churches in every community to enhance evangelism and spiritual development of members.

The Chairperson of the Asante Akyem Presbytery, Rev. Twum-Barima, commended members of the church for their commitment towards the construction of the Manse.
