'Boys Abr3' started from Nkrumah's Era- Akua Donkor
The founder of the Ghana Freedom Party madam Akua Donkor has claimed that the popular catch phrase "boys abre" began in Nkrumah's era.

She made this claim when she delivered her solidarity message at the 8th NDC National Delegates Congress in Kumasi on Saturday.
Madam Akua Donkor who is known for stoking controversies on national matters said the boys abre phenomenon did not begin today and that it started in the days of Dr.Kwame Nkrumah.
This she said was due to the changing of the Pounds sterling to Cedi as legal tender which she said contributed to the suffering of Ghanaians.
Madam Donkor asked Ghanaians to be grateful to God for the life of President Mahama, noting that despite the hardship, Ghana has not faced hunger under his administration.
According to her, the abundance of food in the country is enough testimony of God's bless
