Cassandra Twum-Ampofo wins Communications Personality of the Year award
The Head of the Public Relations Unit of the Ghana Education Service (GES) Ms Cassandra Twum-Ampofo has been adjudged as the Communications Personality of the Year at the just ended National Communications Awards ceremony.
Ms Twum Ampofo emerged as favourite ahead of Public Relations Specialist, Dr. Ike Tandoh, and the Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications, UBA Efo Kwame Dzakpasu.
The award, is the second in her collection, coming in less than a year when she was named among the top 10 PR Women in Ghana in the 2019 Global Women in PR Annual Index.

The event organized by RAD Communications and partners, took place at the Africa Trade House in Accra on Saturday November 14, 2020.
Ms Twum Ampofo’s skills and professionalism with which she communicates with the public in her line of duty as the Head of the PR unit at the GES, particularly in educating the public on the government’s education initiatives and policies has been unparallel.
As the voice of the GES, Ms Tuwm Ampofo led the service to effectively communicated with parents and the general public on the new double-track policy and issues relating to the 2018 computerised school selection and placement system (CSSPS).
An Accredited Member of the Institute of Public Relations, Ghana Ms Twum Ampofo holds a Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Cape Coast, Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications Studies (with specialisation in Public Relations) from the Christian Service University College, a Diploma in Journalism from the Institute of Business Management and Journalism in Kumasi.
As a professional teacher, she obtained her Post Sec Teachers Certificate from Holy Child College, Takoradi and joined the Ghana Education Service in 2004 and had been in the Ashanti Region as the Regional Public Relations Officer of the GES until 2018 when was appointed head of the PR Unit of the GES at the head office.
She is currently a student of International Professional Managers Association.
