CHAG gets guest house

President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference, Most Reverend Philip Naameh, has inaugurated a refurbished guest house for the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG) to mark the 50th anniversary of the association at its head offices in Accra.

The four-bedroom house, which was originally built as the residence of the Executive Director of the association and later converted into a guest house, was abandoned for years until the current board of directors decided to renovate it as a guest house.

CHAG Golden Jubilee House

Known as the CHAG Golden Jubilee House, the facility is expected to serve as a guest house for both the regional staff of the association and the general public.

The Chairman of the Christian Council and the General Secretary of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council, Rev. Dr Ernest Adu Gyamfi and Rev. Emmanuel Teimah Barrigah, respectively, took turns to pray for the good use of the facility.

The CHAG Golden Jubilee House

Cutting the tape to officially open the guest house, Most Rev. Naameh prayed that the facility would help in the accommodation of health personnel and other officials of the CHAG.

He said the CHAG was the second largest provider of health services in the country with about 30 to 35 per cent share of health service output in the country.

He expressed the hope that the facility would serve as a resting place for health personnel and other staff of the association.
