Citi FM General Manager picked up by BNI
The General Manager of Citi FM, Mr Samuel Attah Mensah, has reportedly been arrested by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI).
My Egbert Faibille, a legal practioner, made the allegation to Accra-based Joy FM.
The said arrest is said to be in connection with a story published by Citifmonline.com Sunday, which alleged that a Ghanaian lady in possession of a diplomatic passport had been arrested at the Heathrow Airport for allegedly attempting to smuggle cocaine into the United Kingdom.
The story, however, turned out to be false, with the government stressing that the suspect did not have a diplomatic passport.
The lady, Nayeli Ametefeh, was said to be traveling on an Austrian Passport ( P4187659).
According to Ministry of Communication, she also had a Ghanaian passport (GO364497).
It’s not clear why exactly Mr Attah Mensah was picked up by the BNI, but his whereabouts was still unknown at the time of publication.
