Deputy NSS Director installed Developmental Queen of Adenkrebi-Brekusu

The Deputy Executive Director of the National Service scheme Mrs Sophia Karen Ackuaku, has been installed as the Nkosuo Henebea Developmental Queen of Adenkrebi-Brekusu Traditional Area in the Ga-East Municipal Assembly.

Her installation was as a result of the good work, assistance and support that she had given to people of Adenkrebi over the years.

Mrs Ackuaku had single-handedly supported the community to access electricity and water, built teacher’s bungalows with other philanthropists and is currently constructing the road from Aburi to Adenkrebi.

The ceremony was witnessed by hundreds of people including friends, family and associates from Keta, Accra and Aburi who were present to support her installation.

Nana Afia Adebia, Queen Mother of Adenkrebi-Berekusu, Nana Addo Kweku II, Berekusu Odumase Hene, Deputy Minister of Fisheries and Aqua Culture, Madam Benita Okiti Dua and the NDC Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Mr Joseph Ade-Coker came to grace the occasion.

Also present were officials of the National Service Scheme, Representatives of the Dome and Odorna markets and people of Adenkrebi.

Mrs Ackuaku who is known as a mother and helper was well-accepted by the people of Adenkrebi for that position and now responds to the stool name, Nana Afia Amponsah Ackuaku I.

 In her response, she thanked Chiefs, Queen Mothers and the people of Adenkribi-Brekusu for the recognition and swore, according to custom, to respond to their call at all times, promising to continuously support them with all she had.

According to Nana Ankama I, Afia Amponsah Ackuaku deserved the honour because she proved her commitment by continually providing for and supporting the community even after losing the Parliamentary elections.

For his part, the NDC Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Mr Joseph Ade-Coker assured the people that Nana Afia Amponsah Ackuaku I would always extend a hand to assist them.
