The training was aimed at building the capacity of staff of the ESPA secretariat and member companies to enable them to deal effectively with the rising challenges associated with waste management, particularly in the urban areas.

The Executive Secretary to the ESPA, Ms Ama Ofori Antwi, described the training as timely as it came on the heels of the secretariat's plans to improve on all aspects of its work, as well as help members build on their capacity to improve on service delivery.

Background

The ESPA secretariat secured funding from the Netherlands Fellowship Programme (NFP) for capacity building for its staff and some selected member companies.
