Four burnt, several injured in Nsawam-Accra tanker explosion

Four people were burnt beyond recognition a road traffic accident that resulted in a fire at Signboard near Okanta, off the Nsawam–Accra N6-Highway on Saturday dawn.

Firefighters from the Suhum and Bunso Fire Stations responded to the road traffic accident at about 4:49 am. 

The accident according to eyewitnesses resulted in a fire on the highway.

It involved a fuel (petrol) tanker, a VVIP bus, and three other vehicles, which burst into flames.

Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) initially reported that three persons lost their lives instantly, while seven others sustained injuries. 

All the vehicles involved were completely burnt.
