Ghana Armed Forces recruitment body screening to resume in Greater Accra on Thursday at 8 sub-centres

The body screening as part of the recruitment process into the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) will resume in Greater Accra on Thursday, [November 20, 2025] after last week's suspension following the stampede that killed six people at the El-Wak Stadium.

This time around, the GAF has increased the sub-centres to eight for Greater Accra.

They are two centres at the El-Wak Stadium, two centres at the Nicholson Park at Burma Camp, two centres at the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) at Teshie and one centre each at the Air Force Base at Burma Camp and Eastern Naval Command at Tema.

In a statement issued on Monday [November 17, 2025] by the Department of Public Relations at General Headquarters, the GAF said applicants will be processed in controlled batches of 600 persons.

This measure is intended to avoid a repeat of the November 12 incident at El-Wak Stadium that led to the deaths of six applicants and left 28 others injured due to a stampede.

“All qualified applicants in batches of 600 persons will each receive an SMS specifying their reporting dates, batches and designated centres,” the statement signed by Captain [Navy] Veronica Adzo Arhin, the Acting Director General, Public Relations, said.

The armed forces said applicants who do not receive text messages by Thursday may call the helpline on 0256405104 or contact 0256405154 on WhatsApp for assistance. They may also visit the recruitment portal for updates.
