Recruitment
He was very grateful to the Management of Aayalolo for the speed with which they agreed to bring the bus service to the Ga Central Municipality. He also mentioned that he had appealed to the Greater Accra Passenger Transport Executive (GAPTE) to allocate some quota for the municipal assembly for some locals to be recruited and trained as Aayalolo drivers in the very near future.

She said that the extension of the bus service to the area will stimulate commerce, facilitate trade and other businesses as is expected of every effective public transportation system. For the wider public, the Aayalolo brand promises to offer increased accessibility as it will make connections to workplaces, education and healthcare much easier.
As part of reforms initiated under the Ghana Urban Transport Project (GUTP), the GAPTE was established as a metropolitan mobility agency to develop and implement systems for urban transport management, network planning, public transport regulations and service contract management in the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area and Awutu Senya East Municipal Assembly in the Central Region. Currently, GAPTE encompasses 27 MMDAs.
This has been made possible through the instrumentality of the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development, amid the implementation of measures aimed at restructuring and repositioning GAPTE to deliver on its mandate.

The Aayalolo Bus Service’s mandate to modernise and improve urban transit within the capital city and its surrounding areas, is part of a broader strategy intended to revamp public transportation in the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area (GAMA).
It has been designed to offer an alternative to the informal minibus system, commonly known as "trotros," which, despite being widely used, often suffer from issues such as overcrowding, irregular schedules, and safety concerns. The service aims to provide a reliable and efficient means of transportation for commuters.
