I’ll make Ghana agriculture powerhouse — Young Entrepreneur of the Year
The 2023 Chamber Business Awards Young Entrepreneur of the year, Robert Kwabena Ayitey, said his vision is to help the country become an agriculture powerhouse to spur economic growth.
Mr Ayitey, who is the Managing Director of BH Fertagro Ghana Limited, a leading fertiliser supplier in the country, said agriculture was crucial in economic development, which had the potential to massively improve the fortunes of the country and also offer opportunities for people to succeed.
Speaking after receiving the award, organised by the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industries (GNCCI), Mr Ayitey said he went into agri-business due to his drive and zeal to help farmers succeed and ultimately create value for the country to promote sustainable development.
“My motivation for starting BH Fertagro Ghana Limited is to provide quality but affordable agricultural inputs (fertilizers, seeds, and agronomy services) to help farmers get the best out of their yields,” he said
He lauded the GNCCI and the entire country for recognizing his efforts and that of others, which he said would spur him to continue to serve the country.
“It is an honour to receive such a prestigious national recognition in a record time. “Thank you, Ghana, for believing in young talents and giving us a chance to serve you better” he added.
