Physically challenged charged for possession of " wee"

Physically- challenged man before an Accra circuit court on Wednesday for allegedly possessing narcotic drugs at Baastona in Accra.

The accused person Emmanuel Agbemenu 34, unemployed, was said to have been caught red-handed by a police patrol term while peddling in Narcotic drugs in his kiosk.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge of possessing narcotic drugs.

The court presided over by Jane Harriet Akweley Quaye granted him bail of GH¢ 70.000 with two sureties where on must be civil servant and adjourn the case it to June 17, 2019.

Prosecution’s case

The facts as presented by the prosecution, Inspector B. Benneh were that on May 19, 2019 at about 9:30pm the police patrol team who were on duty at baatsona Police station had a tip off that Agbemenu was peddling in Nacultic drugs in his kiosk at Cambodia a qetto in baatsona.

According to prosecution, the police surrounded the area, arrested him.

A search conducted in his room reviled three (3) slabs and two hundred and fifty- five (255) wrappers of dried leaves all suspected to be Indian hemp, peace of papers and a pair of scissors in a sack.

Agbemenu together with the exhibit was sent to baatsona divisional CID for investigation.

The exihit have been forward to the police forensic laboratory for examination and report after he admitted ownership of the exhibits.
