Man, 20, jailed 15 years for robbery

The Wa Circuit Court presided over by Jonathan Ayoogo has sentenced 20-year-old Nawaf Abdulai to 15 years’ imprisonment with hard labour for robbery.
Abdulai, with his accomplice, Awal Abass, who is currently at large, on March 6, 2025, robbed their victims of two motorbikes in Wa.
The convict and his accomplice were said to be members of a gang of armed robbers who had been terrorising the residents of Wa in recent times.
Following the robbery on March 6, 2025, the police swooped on him at his residence, where he was arrested, and the stolen motorbikes were retrieved.
Abdulai was subsequently arraigned before the court on charges of robbery and convicted by the court.
