Three killed, 20 injured in head-on collision on Kumasi–Accra N6 highway near Konongo

It has been announced that Monday morning's road accident that occurred near Konongo-Odumase on the Accra-Kumasi N6 highway claimed three lives and injured 20 others.

All the deceased have been identified as males.

The crash involved a Mitsubishi Outlander and a Benz Sprinter minibus with registration number GE 6024-22.

Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service responded to the distress call at 7:55 am.

Twelve victims were taken out of the vehicle by some eyewitnesses, while the fire crew on their part rescued the remaining eight who were still trapped at the time of arrival at the scene.

Both vehicles suffered serious damages. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The bodies of the deceased were retrieved and handed over to the MTTD Police for further action.
