Complete Elubo-Enchi road on time or we'll 'kick you out’ - Roads minister to contractor
The contractor working on the 71.25 kilometres Elubo-Enchi road has been warned by the sector minister to complete the project on time or be kicked out.
Speaking during an inspection of the project on Tuesday, (May 12, 2026], the Minister of Roads and Highways, Governs Kwame Agbodza, said he was disappointed at the slow pace the company, Top International Engineering Company (TEIC) - was working on the major road after being paid GH¢80.2 million mobilisation in December 2025.

He said the contractor has only done five per cent of work as of now.
The minister said but for the fact that the contractor has already been paid H¢80 million, he would have terminated the contract.
The project commenced in December 2025 and is scheduled to be completed in two years.

“We are totally disappointed. In fact, this is one of the worst situations since we started monitoring projects. The worst is that the beneficial owner of this company does not stay, and anytime you call him, he is is not in the country.
