Vote massively for Mahama, NDC to build Ghana — Lordina
The Wife of the Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, and Founder of the Lordina Foundation, Mrs Lordina Mahama, has held a number of engagements with traditional leaders, queenmothers, market women, opinion leaders and other identified groups to garner support for her husband, reminding them of the laudable manifesto promises of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
On the campaign trail across the country, Mrs Mahama does what she loves doing the most: spreading love and compassion by making donations to orphanages, hospitals and health facilities among others and has worked so hard over the years to make health care more accessible in Ghana and to expand educational opportunities to each and every child, and no region has been left out.

She never rested and for the eight years that her husband was in opposition, she continued to impact the lives of people especially women and children as her foundation funded fully equipped maternity and children’s wards and presented medical supplies to a number of health facilities.
To Mrs Mahama, by equipping the hospitals and local clinics with these essential supplies, they were taking a meaningful step towards bridging this gap. “We are working to make health care not for a privileged few, but a right for everyone.”
She visited some major markets in a number of regional capitals to campaign for the flag bearer of the NDC, her husband, John Dramani Mahama, ahead of the December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections.
Wherever she went, Mrs Mahama held separate meetings with the regional associations of market women, queenmothers and other indigenous groups to garner their support for her husband to promote the #Mahama4Change2024 message and her promise to work with Ghanaians to Build the Ghana We Want.
Improve circumstances
The market women in almost all markets visited by the former First Lady shared similar sentiments and Mrs Mahama explained her husband’s policies that would help improve their circumstances.
The prospect of affordable loans for women and traders was particularly welcomed, as current lending rates severely impacted their small businesses.

Wherever she went, Mrs Mahama shared with the people Mahama’s key initiatives that would impact their businesses and lives.
She refuted unfounded claims that the NDC and Mahama would cancel the Free SHS policy, urging the women to reject the lies and gave an assurance that, “he has not said that anywhere.
In fact, he has great plans to improve the policy to make it better,” she emphasised.
She urged them to reject the lies and choose development and improvement in their business and living conditions by voting overwhelmingly for John Mahama and the NDC’s parliamentary candidates in their areas, adding that it was important for the NDC to secure a majority in parliament.

NDC’s innovative policies
The former First Lady also promoted the NDC’s innovative policies, particularly those focused on women and children.
These included the establishment of a Women’s Development Bank, the National Apprenticeship Programme, and the fee-free policy for first-year university students and reminded them of the laudable manifesto promises of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
