Ghanaian nurses who take up employment in the Saint Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean will enjoy legally protected enhanced salaries, health insurance, rent allowance, and end-of-service benefits, among other labour rights, under a new bilateral labour agreement signed between the two countries.
The agreement was signed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Dr Geoffrey Hanley, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, on the sidelines of the 81st Session of United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Mr Ablakwa commended Ghanaian professionals for making the country proud all over the world as many countries continue to seek their outstanding services and expertise.
He reaffirmed Ghana's commitment to pursuing impactful diplomacy which benefits the people it serves.
