Graphic launches loyalty promotion, 4 cars up for grabs

The Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL) as part of its 70th Anniversary celebration, has launched a promotion to reward loyal readers of its newspaper brands.

The promotion starts on Monday, October 5, 2020, and would run for the next six months.

Readers of any of the GCGL's newspaper brands – Daily Graphic, The Mirror, Graphic Sports, Graphic Showbiz, Graphic Business, Junior Graphic and Graphic Online, would be rewarded daily, weekly and quarterly with prizes worth over one million Ghana cedis.

The ultimate prizes to be won at the end of the promotion are four new KIA Pegas sedan cars.

Launching the promotion at the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rana Motors and Vokacom, the Managing Director of GCGL, Ato Afful, said the promotion was an opportunity for readers to develop their purpose and discipline through the reading of newspapers in the Graphic stable.

“The opportunity is very wide and it’s very deep and we entreat everyone, including our vendors and readers of the Daily Graphic and all of its sister brands to be part of this promotion.

“I will entreat you to pick up a paper, buy a Daily Graphic, buy one for the family and as the children are home this COVID season. Encourage reading which also develops perseverance, purpose and discipline. And by that simple gesture of investing into your family and of yourself, you could be on your way to an amazing experience,” he added.

The Sales Team Leader of Rana Motors, Alex Kuntah, described the loyalty promotion as a good initiative which his outfit was proud to be associated with.

“We see Graphic as a family and we want to also share in that celebration because we couldn’t have had a better partner than Graphic. And so we brought on board our KIA Pegas which is the latest addition to the KIA range. The Pegas is a 1.4-litre engine car and so we thought that this is a very beautiful car and once Graphic Communications wants to reward the loyalty of its readers, these same readers are the people we want to reach out to and tell our story to as an automobile company. Therefore, we can both say that this is your reward for your loyalty,” he said.

How to win

Outlining the promotion process, the Director Marketing of GCGL, Franklin Sowa, said all a reader has to do to stand the chance of winning any of the prizes was to dial *706# and follow the instructions to join the promotion.

Also, readers can cut out a promotion strip published in the Daily Graphic and The Mirror and drop it at the offices of the GCGL across the country.

Digital readers of any of the newspaper brands can also take a screenshot of the newspaper and send to graphic@lalafio.com.

Old copies recall

The promotion also allows loyal readers to submit their old copies of the various newspapers at any of the offices of the GCGL.

According to Mr Sowa, the older the date of publication submitted, the higher the chances of winning.
