Guild of the Good Shepherd installs 8th Diocesan Master Shepherd

Madam Elizabeth Mills, a member of the Cathedral branch of the Guild of the Good Shepherd was installed on October 2, 2021 as the 8th Diocesan Master Shepherd of the Guild.

The event took place at the Cathedral Church of the Most Holy Trinity.

The Diocesan Guild of the Good Shepherd was formed decades ago with representation from the Deanery and Archdeaconries with the aim of coming together for fellowship and evangelism.

The first Diocesan Master Shepherd was the late Sis May Ankrah of the Cathedral branch of the Guild.

The position is rotational and every four years a new Diocesan Master Shepherd is installed from the Deanery or Archdeaconries.

The Diocesan Master Shepherd represents the Guild at the Diocesan and a National level, the Diocesan Master Shepherd among other duties is responsible in executing the mission of the Guild which is to assist the Clergy in evangelism.

The Guild performs its duties through prayers, equipping members with the word of God and also sharing the word of God to community
members during outreaches in hard to reach areas.

The Guild has also adopted on house at Osu Children’s Home and contributes towards the upkeep of the children and maintenance of the house, the Diocesan Guild of the Good Shepherd with contributions from the Deanery and Archdeaconry renovated the house recently.

The newly installed Diocesan Master Shepherd has a charge to keep and a God to glorify, a never dying soul to save and that in the end she can give a good account of her stewardship in the Lord’s vineyard.
