Rumours were rife late Sunday and Monday morning especially on social media that Dr Afari-Gyan who retired from the commission last year has passed on and his head of family one Nana Badu Kwateng Gyan had issued a statement to that effect.

But commenting on the development Dr Afari-Gyan laughed about the rumour and said he personally heard about the rumours aound 1am Monday when someone phoned to check on him.

He said his head of family is called Dr Akwasi Addai and he is the one who will announce it should he pass on and not the said Kwateng Gyan whom he said was unknown to his family
