Loan Trust chases 31, 412 students loan defaulters

The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has published a list of 31,412 students who have defaulted in their loan repayments.

The defaulters are said to have failed to pay back their monthly instalments or have not made any effort in their loan repayment.

Their names, courses, student identity numbers and institutions they attended have been published on the SLTF website. 

Some of the loans have been in arrears for about 10 years.

The SLTF is therefore asking the defaulters to repay the loan  so as to enable for others to access the fund.

The Fund said it would publish the names of the defaulters and their respective amounts in the newspapers if they fail to repay their loans on time.
