Mahama pledges to build a nation that works for everyone in Christmas message
President-elect John Dramani Mahama has reiterated his commitment to building a Ghana that values freedom, justice, and accountability.
In his Christmas message on 25 December 2024, Mahama expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for entrusting him with the role of president and commander-in-chief of the Ghana Armed Forces.

“As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and reflect on the values He exemplified, I wish to thank you, the good people of Ghana, for granting me the honour to serve you,” he said.
Mahama described the festive season as a time of hope and renewal, promising to guide the nation toward progress and inclusivity.
He also expressed warm seasonal wishes and highlighted the importance of unity, gratitude, and a shared commitment towards a brighter future.
Mr Mahama is set to be inaugurated on 7th January 2025.
