‘National Security Co-ordinator has not impounded car’

The National Security Co-ordinator, Mr Yaw Donkor, has denied ever engaging a Tema-based businessman, Nana Obiri Yeboah, over the seizure of his car.

He has also denied ever meeting the said Nana Obiri Yeboah.

This was contained in a statement signed by Colonel E. W. K. Nibo (retd) on behalf of the National Security Council Secretariat and issued in Accra yesterday.

The statement was in reaction to media reports that Mr Donkor impounded a Toyota Camry belonging to Nana Obiri Yeboah.

The reports suggested that Nana Obiri Yeboah claimed to have met Mr Donkor on several occasions on the matter without resolution.

“Mr Yaw Donkor, who left the BNI in May 2014, wishes it to be known that he has never been involved in any investigation of Nana Obiri Yeboah and has never met him in his life,” it stated.
