New ward for GAEC Clinic
The first phase of a two-storey ward block of the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC) clinic has been inaugurated .
The project, which was funded from the clinic’s internally generated funds, cost GH¢1,032,736.1.
The 30-bed facility has air conditioners fitted in all the wards.
At the inauguration ceremony in Accra, the Director General of the GAEC, Prof. Benjamin Nyarko, said the block was constructed to address the increasing number of cases at the clinic.
Prof. Nyarko said the clinic had arranged for doctors and nurses from other hospitals to assist in the provision of health care.
The Medical Superintendent of the clinic, Rev. Dr Anthony Quampah, expressed his gratitude to the GAEC for supporting the project.
