She said the EXGLO Foundation would start work in the Central, Upper East and Upper West regions and extend to other regions with time.
Volunteerism
At the event, a former Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Professor Ernest Aryeetey, lauded the NGO for the initiative to serve deprived communities.
He noted that volunteerism and charitable work were some of the measures that contributed to the sustainable development of the nation.
"To make a difference in a society, we should all give charitably to the society and volunteer to take part in initiatives,” he stated.
Prof. Aryeetey stressed that societal development would be hindered if individuals failed to make themselves available for volunteering acts that would bring about change in the country.
He, therefore, urged corporate entities, institutions and individuals to support organisations such as EXGLO Foundation to bring about change in the health and education sector for a better country.
