Parliament’s Appointments Committee continues vetting of ministerial nominees on Tuesday

The Appointments Committee of Parliament is set to continue vetting ministerial nominees appointed by President John Dramani Mahama. According to a revised schedule, the vetting process will run from 28 January to 4 February 2025, focusing on nominees designated for key ministerial and regional leadership roles.

Prominent figures set to appear before the committee include Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, nominated for the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources; Dr Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, for the Ministry of Defence; and Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, for Minister of State in Charge of Special Initiatives.

The vetting will also feature regional ministerial candidates such as Wilbert Petty Brentum for the Western North Region and Mrs Charity Gardiner for the Ahafo Region.
