Police launch manhunt following attack on NPP Collation Centre in Akweteyman
The Ghana Police Service has initiated a manhunt for a group of individuals who attacked a collation centre at the Okaikwei North Constituency in Akweteyman, Accra.
According to the Police, the attackers caused extensive damage to collation materials and injured one person during the assault, prompting swift action from law enforcement agency.

In a statement, the Police revealed that their investigations, aided by a victim, had led to the identification of two suspects: Ryan Gbagbathi and Huzaif, who are believed to be part of the group involved in the incident.
“We urge the public to remain calm as Police efforts are underway to apprehend the suspects to face the full rigours of the law,” the statement noted, assuring the public of their determination to bring the perpetrators to justice.
The Police further reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace and security during and after the elections, stressing their readiness to tackle any threats to public safety.
As investigations continue, the Police are appealing to the public for any information that could lead to the swift arrest of the suspects. The incident underscores the heightened tensions surrounding the ongoing electoral process.
