
President Mahama to host Czech President Petr Pavel on three-day state visit
President John Dramani Mahama is set to host the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, for a three-day state visit to Ghana next week, marking the first official state visit under President Mahama’s new term in office.
According to a statement signed by Minister for Government Communications and Presidential Spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the visit will reinforce diplomatic ties between Ghana and the Czech Republic, and promote strategic cooperation across key sectors.
During the visit, President Petr Pavel will engage in bilateral discussions with President Mahama aimed at strengthening trade, investment, and development cooperation. He is also expected to address a high-level business forum, inaugurate a Czech-funded health facility, and tour notable heritage sites, including the Osu Castle and the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park.
President Mahama will also host a State Dinner in honour of the Czech leader.
The visit signals deepening relations between Accra and Prague and highlights both nations’ commitment to expanding mutual cooperation in areas such as health, commerce, and cultural exchange
