The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a series of planned and emergency maintenance works scheduled for Monday, July 28, and Tuesday, July 29, 2025, across multiple regions. The maintenance is aimed at improving power reliability and enhancing service delivery.
In the Ashanti Region, ECG will undertake emergency maintenance on Tuesday, July 29, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The areas to be affected include Kokoben, Brofoyedru, Nkoransa, Bekwame, Buoho, Bodwesango, and surrounding communities. ECG has apologised for the inconvenience the outage may cause.

In the Greater Accra Region, maintenance work will take place over both days. On Monday, July 28, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, power will be interrupted in Ablekuma Galilea, Plot 10, New Aplaku, Red-Top, Kings University, Korkordzor, Glefe, Wiaboman, Affilicia Company, Ministries, and Dzorwulu Junction.
On Tuesday, July 29, residents in Mandela, SCC, Sunny Coast, Korkordjor, Shiabu, Gbegbeyise Beach Road, Kinshasha, Harmonice Apartments (Roman Ridge), Osu Asanka Junction, Katamanso, New England, Tseaddo New Roundabout, Events Avenue, and surrounding areas will also experience a power outage from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
In the Tema Region, a tipper truck accident on Sunday, July 27, damaged a high-tension pole at Saki near Nobel Kids Academy, resulting in an unplanned outage. The affected areas include Saki, Bediako, Bethlehem, Community 25, Gulf City, and their environs. ECG has assured residents that engineers are working to restore power as quickly as possible.
Separately, ECG has announced planned maintenance in the Tema Region on Tuesday, July 29, between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. Affected areas include Potter's City, Noble Estates, Miotso, Prampram, Kpoi Ete, Chapel Square, Nungua Beach Road, Buena Vista Home, Khari Annan Estate, Funeral Home, Regional Maritime University, Greenland, and Friday.
In the Volta Region, GRIDCo will carry out planned maintenance at the Kpeve Bulk Supply Point on Tuesday, July 29, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. This will affect Kpeve Township, Bame, Woadze, Have Ando, the Ghana Water Company Limited pumping station, Anyirawase, Tsito Township, Adult College, Sokode Ando, Sokode Gbagble, part of Sokode Gbogame, and surrounding areas.
Also on July 29, between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, residents of Tokokoe, Tanyigbe, and the 66 Artillery Training Center will experience outages due to ECG maintenance in the region.
ECG has issued multiple apologies for the inconvenience caused and has encouraged residents in affected areas to plan accordingly during the maintenance periods.
