Kwaku Yeboah, who was receiving treatment under a 24-hour guard at the hospital, eloped on the blind side of the security guards.

He was re-arrested at his hideout at Kwatire, near Sunyani together with two others who had offered him a place to hide.

The Brong Ahafo Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Christopher Tawiah told the Graphic Online that Yeboah was arrested Monday morning after a tip-off.

He escaped from the Sunyani Regional Hospital on May 5, 2016 compelling the Regional Police authorities to give the police constable guarding him a 10-day ultimatum to produce him or face punishment.

On May 2, 2016 Yeboah and his accomplice, who is at large, were said to have robbed Madam Kate Sam Wilson at gunpoint at Ohene Djan, a suburb of Abesim near Sunyani at about 7.30 pm.

Luck eluded them when an 18-year old boy who responded to the shouts for help by the victim ambushed and attacked the robbers.

The robbers parked their motorbike at about 100 metres away from the store where the victim deals in alcoholic beverages and water.

However the 18-year old boy attacked the robbers with a big stone and struggled with them until others joined him to effect the arrest of Yeboah even though his accomplice bolted.

Yeboah received several injuries as a result of the attack on him by the mob and subsequently was admitted at the hospital under a 24-hour guard.

But he managed to outwit both the hospital staff and the police constable guarding him on May 5, 2016.
