In addition to reducing demand on the already strained resources of the Ghana water company, the Eight million Ghana cedis treatment plant will recycle 40% of all waste water generated by the factory.

The plant will treat waste water using bacteriological, ultra filtration and reverse osmosis processes to make it safe for reuse. It will also cut down the amount of waste discharged into the drains thereby lessening pollution in the country.

The CEO of Vlisco Group Mr Hans Ouwendijk, said the company has invested over GHC 35 million  in plant and equipment, human capital and other key areas.

“What we are trying to do as the Vlisco group is to be responsible corporate citizens not just responsible but also to commit and to care.”
