Ursula Owusu denies food rejection allegations
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ablekuma West, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, has denied allegations that food distributed by her team to party agents on voting day was rejected by constituents.
She described the allegations as a deliberate way to tarnish her reputation.

She, therefore, urged the public to disregard the false report and assured her constituents of her continued dedication and humility in serving them.
She was speaking in an interview with the media after casting her vote at Polling Station A at the Home Care School in Dansoman in Accra today.
She also charged the media to provide accurate reportage on the election proceedings.
Voting
Voting in Ablekuma West Constituency in Accra is progressing smoothly with a steady turnout with no major disruption so far.
By 12 p.m., Polling Station A and B at the Home Care School and Gbegbeyise, part of Chorkor had recorded an appreciable turnout of voters.
Many of the aged in the area mostly being assisted by their families, came out in their numbers to cast their votes.

The MP after casting her vote interacted with some of the elderly voters.
One of the polling agents, Nicholas Osei Tutu, told Graphic Online that the voting process had been smooth, with verification machines operating properly.
He said as at 12:20. p.m., 164 out of 736 registered voters had cast their ballots.
Another polling agent, Jeff Minsky, said although the process was slow, they were hopeful that majority would come and vote by the close of the day.

“The problem we have here is that majority think that when they come early there will be friction so they will wait till evening. The process is slow, but it does not stress us because they will come,” he said.
