The changes affect both immigrant and non-immigrant visa applicants, who have been given new dates for their interviews.

According to the Embassy, all immigrant visa appointments have been rescheduled for 7 am on Friday, April 4, 2025, while all non-immigrant visa appointments will now take place on the morning of Friday, April 11, 2025.

Eid-Ul-Fitr, also known as the "Festival of Breaking the Fast," is an important Islamic holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide. It marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting, prayer, and spiritual reflection.

The occasion is observed with prayers, feasting, acts of charity, and gatherings with family and friends. In Ghana, Eid-Ul-Fitr is widely celebrated by the Muslim community and is recognised as a public holiday.

Meanwhile, the Embassy clarified that it will remain operational on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, and visa interviews scheduled for that day will proceed as planned.

The US Embassy in Ghana has encouraged all affected applicants to take note of the changes and make the necessary adjustments to their schedules.
