Asantehene, Asantehemaa and NAPO vote in Manhyia South constituency
At exactly 12 noon, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, accompanied by his wife, Lady Julia Osei Tutu, cast their ballots for both presidential and parliamentary elections.
The Running mate of the President Candidate of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh, who had earlier voted at Apedwafie Polling Centre A at Ashtown, joined the Asantehene to the Manhyia Polling Station One to cast his vote.

He called on him at the Manhyia Palace, and together with the King, Clad in Black and White Kente cloth, walked to the polling centre.
Also present were the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Manhyia South, Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, and some officials of the Manhyia Palace, notably among them was the Chief Of Staff of Manhyia Palace, Nana Kofi Badu.
Immediately the Asantehene cast his vote, he waited patiently for his wife, Lady Julia, to cast her ballot, and after the process they walked back to the Manhyia Palace.
The polling centre, housing a total of 370 registered voters, had already witnessed 150 individuals partaking in the voting process by the time of the Asantehene's arrival.
The Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, shortly arrived in her plush vehicle, and also safely went through the voting process.
Unfortunately, the biometric device could not capture the fingers of the Asantehemaa, so she was verified manually and allowed to cast her vote.

Subsequently, Dr Opoku Prempeh could not resist the pressure from the media to grant interview, so he spoke for barely thirty seconds , stressing the need for the people to come out in their numbers and honour their constitutional rights by voting.
"I don't have any thing to say. I am here to accompany Otumfuo to cast his ballot..all we all yearn for is a free, fair and peaceful elections," he soberly said.
