The flagbearer of the oposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, paid a courtesy call on the Asantehemaa, Nana Yaa Akyaa II, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on Thursday (September 17, 2026), to congratulate her on her enstoolment.
He sought the Asantehemaa’s blessings for his vision for the presidency, and she responded appropriately.
Dr Bawumia was accompanied by several party stalwarts.
