He said Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was well experienced in politics and knew the type of people needed for the job ahead and as such should be given the free hand to do his selection.

He said the task ahead of the government and the party would require people with the requisite expertise to help the President-elect to bring the country’s economy back on track to engender the needed growth.

Mr Amankwah was speaking to the media shortly after attending a thanksgiving service at the Faith Gospel Church where he joined the congregation to give thanks to God for a successful re-election as MP for the area.

Although he won the seat with a landslide, he said events leading to the elections were such that but for God, he could not have made it.

He asked Ghanaians to have faith in the NPP as the party would deliver on its promises to restore hope to Ghanaians.

According to the legislator, it was better for the President-elect to decide on the best people for the job and called on party supporters to stop the ongoing moves aimed at stampeding the process.

‘’It is worrying for some people to think the President-elect does not know which people could best help him prosecute the change agenda he promised during the electioneering’’ Mr Amankwah stated.
