Election 2024: Mahama wins Adentan again

The Adentan Constituency in the Greater Accra Region has once again delivered a decisive victory for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the presidential elections.

According to the certified results from the Electoral Commission, NDC candidate, John Dramani Mahama garnered a total of 60,116 votes, while New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, received 29,578 votes out of the 92,375 votes cast in last Saturday's general elections.

Although Mahama also won the Adentan seat in the 2020 elections, the margin was narrower then. This time, he expanded the gap between himself and Dr. Bawumia, despite receiving slightly fewer votes than in 2020, when he had 60,549 votes compared to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's 52,055 votes.

The other candidates collectively received 1,566 votes, with 810 ballots rejected.
